ANY hopes White Horse B had of beating the drop from Division Two disappeared on Thursday evening after they were beaten 7-1 by an in-form Bath Road FC side whose win was their fourth on the spin and stretched their unbeaten run to 11 matches.

A Matt White double and a Rich Hudson penalty gave Bath Road a comfortable lead at the break. Luke Carrington made it 4-0 and Matt White added a third to complete his hat-trick.

Nick Maniford scored number six and a second on the evening for Hudson made up Bath Road’s seven.

Jordan Gullis scored a late consolation for White Horse B, who will be playing third division football next term.

A 5-0 victory for Corsham Centre Youth at Melksham Forest Community Centre saw them close the gap on leaders Bremhill View to one point, while the defeat for the Foresters leaves them just above the drop zone just one point ahead of Old Road.

Simon Gray’s first-half double took his tally to 11 in four appearances.

Mark Sharratt added a third after the break and goals from Lewis McCarron and Sam Hodsell took the Centre’s goal tally for the season to 105.
