JAKE Loft returned to haunt former employers Corsham Oak, his second half double for Old Road denied Martin Perrett’s side the chance to claim top spot in Division Two.

Old Road who had yet to register a point this season, broke their duck in style with a 3-1 win which saw them move out of the bottom two.

They led through an Andy Rose goal before Corsham squared things up via a Simon Young penalty.

Loft regained the lead for Old Road with a stunning strike and another outstanding finish for the former Corsham man helped end a six-match losing run.

FC North Wiltshire took the points against 10-man Christian Malford with a 5-2 home win at Leafy Lane. For the second time this season Malford could only field 10 players but gave a battling first-half display.

Opening the scoring after 10 minutes when Harry Fenwick’s shot beat the keeper.

North Wilts were denied an equaliser when keeper Grant Christie saved David Biggs’ strike before the rebound fired against the crossbar.

North Wilts did find an equaliser on 32 minutes when Biggs turned home Scott Austin’s cross.

North Wilts took the lead five into the second period through Tom Butler, before Biggs netted his second on the hour-mark to make it 3-1.

Malford pulled a goal back almost immediately through debutant Joshua Thompson, however, Biggs completed his hat-trick following a controversial penalty.

After 70 minutes Malford’s woes continued when a clearance near their goal line hit Stephen Lynch and cannoned back into their net to give North Wilts the win.

A goal in the final minute from Brendan Knight after being set up by his dad Tim earned Miller Sports B a vital 1-0 victory over fellow relegation battlers The Mallard.

Sutton Benger were unable to build on last week’s draw against FC Bradford as they were beaten 3-2 by FC Lacock.

Lacock were 2-0 up at the break courtesy of a double from Josh Hard, his first coming from the penalty spot.

Chris Miles reduced the arrears for Benger only for Rory Davis to add a third for Lacock. Miles grabbed a second for Benger and although they pushed for an equaliser Lacock held on to take maximum points.

Lavington Rangers gained revenge for their two defeats to The Grapes United last season with a 4-1 success.

A first-half penalty from Jacob Rogers gave Lavington the lead before George Taplin doubled the advantage after the interval.

Mikki Harrison pulled a goal back for the Grapes but further goals for Cullen Wylie and Jamie Hall completed the Rangers win.
