IT WAS ninth time lucky for Calne United, who claimed their first win of the season.

United remain bottom of Division Three, but their 11-2 win over 10-man 91-92 FC will have given them a much-needed confidence boost.

Callum Horne got the ball rolling for Calne, Matt Lang scored four andMatt Fenn and Soreanu Cosmin helped themselves to a couple apiece, Alfie Bain and Chris Laver addinghe others. Gary Turk, from the penalty spot, and Tom Boucher replied for 91-92.

An impressive first half from Westbury Conservative Club saw them hit the goal trail  at Evana Designs.

The Cons led 7-0 at the break but took their foot of the pedal in the second half as they allowed Evana back into the game, only to end up winning it 8-3.

Steve Ball and Ryan Underwood scored first-half hat-tricks, Shaun Kent added the seventh.

Troy Thomas with two and Paul Revening gave Evana a fighting chance before  Ball claimed his fourth to end any hopes their hosts had of pulling off a stunning fightback.

Semington made sure that they kept up thee pressure on leaders The Dursley Arms.

The villagers claimed a 5-1 win over FC St George to remain four points behind Joe Kirkpatrick’s table toppers.

Ashley Whittaker, Rich Allum and a second from the in-form Whittaker put Semington 3-0 up after 45 minutes.

Whittaker completed his hat-trick in the second half and Chris Dore made up the five after Paul Arnold had pulled a goal back for St George.

Runaway leaders The Dursley Arms extended their winning run to eight matches, an 11-1 triumph over Warminster Wanderers at Lambrok Road also took their goals for tally in those eight games to 66.

Martin Johnson scored a first-half hat-trick with a goal each for Jamie Jordan and Adam Mercer giving them a 5-0 lead at the break.

Jordan went on to complete a second-half hat-trick and Johnson took his total for the season to 21 with a fourth of the game.

Jake Hiscock scored two and Jordan Pinder’s single made up the 11. Jamie Howse replied for Warminster.

White Horse B ended a four-match winless run with a 3-0 victory at home to Forest AFC.

Dan Mead tapped home to give White Horse the lead on 10 minutes. Brody Broom swept home a 25 yarder to make it 2-0 in the 60th minute and Toby Murden smashed home a 30 yard free kick 15 minutes from time to earn his team victory.
