TROWBRIDGE-BASED The Dursley Arms ended Greyhound’s hopes lifting the Wiltshire Sunday Cup.
The Swindon League outfit, who were beaten finalists last term, suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Joe Kirkpatrick’s side.
Martin Johnson got Dursley back on level terms after Greyhound opened the scoring.
A second from Johnson saw Dursley take the lead only for Greyhound to square things up at 2-2 prior to Ferris Lamrabet grabbing the Dursley’s winner.
The all-Chippenham Sunday League clash saw Corsham CC Wildcats overpower FC St George who saw their cup dreams ended by their top-flight opponents as they romped to a 9-0 success.
Mark Robinson scored the opening two goals for the Wildcats and a Leigh Rogers effort gave them a 3-0 interval lead.
Rogers added his second and the Wildcats fourth shortly after the restart, Alex Hillier, Darrin Moss, Adam Shipman a third of the morning from Robinson and Zach Hillier’s single made up the nine.
Corsham Oak’s long trek to Andover & District League side Tidworth Town ended in disappointment as they suffered a 7-1 defeat at the hands of their hosts.
With what was already a makeshift team, things went from bad to worse for the Oak when they had keeper Dave Cardus sent off in the opening five minutes. Aaron Masson netted Corsham’s consolation.
