FRESHFORD United’s fifth adults six a side tournament saw a shield competition introduced to accompany the main cup event.
Sixteen teams entered, the third and fourth placed group teams going into the Shield, which came down to a close final between Bristol Sunday League outfit The Royal Oak FC and the Trowbridge & District League’s Semington Magpies.
Magpies clinched the final in the dying moments of the game.
The cup competition was fought out for by the first and second-placed group teams.
Last year’s winners Freshford United B met the Bradley Boys in the final.
The visitors took the lead with a powerful free-kick and wrapped up the victory late on.
