HARSH words were said in the changing room after Corsham Town conceded two goals in injury time to lose at home to Chard Town.

Trevor Rawlings side dominated the first half and took the lead through a Sam Ockwell strike however the game turned on its head after the break.

Corsham failed to show up in the second half and were left clinging on in the final 20 minutes.

The hosts thought they had done enough when they got to 90 minutes with their lead in tack but a succession of four corners took their toll as the visitors restored parity in the 90th minute.

Then from a throw-in, in the opposition half, Corsham gave the ball away and Chard broke resulting in Ben Pring bringing down their striker in the box to gift the visitors all three points.

“It is not acceptable to play for just 45 minutes,” said Rawlings.

“We had several gilt edged chances in the first half and we must be taking them.

“It doesn’t help that we are changing the team every week.

“We have to play the whole game and take our chances.”
