TROWBRIDGE AND DISTRICT LEAGUE DIVISION ONE: Bakali injury forces game to be abandoned
A SUSPECTED broken leg to Waleed Bakali saw defending Trowbridge Windows & Conservatories - sponsored Trowbridge League Division One champions Freshford United home match with Hilperton United called off.
Things weren’t going the way of Chris Birleson’s side as they were trailing 1-0 to a Ben Smith goal when an injury to Bakali, who fell awkwardly and suffered the injury, led to the match being held up for more than an hour while they waited for an ambulance to arrive.
With the light fading referee Steve Higgins decided to abandon the contest with just 43 minutes played.
