DEFENSIVE errors proved costly for Bradford United who, despite twice taking the lead at Warminster Town Reserves on Tuesday, were left looking for their first win in the CDP Supply-sponsored, Centenary Remembrance Cup as a late goal earned the hosts a 3-3 draw and a point that takes them to third place in the standings.

Bradford went ahead on 10 minutes, Theo Sing netting from 18 yards after being set up by Ian Groves.

At this stage Bradford looked the better of the two teams but they were undone close to half time when poor defending allowed Ollie McFarran to restore parity for the home side.

After the break Bradford fell behind to a James Collett goal but were able to turn things around and levelled through 16-year-old Jack Bristow who turned home a Ryan Mortimer corner to claim a debut goal for the Bradford first team to go with the six he has from nine appearances with the Reserves.

Bradford took a 3-2 advantage through Dan Jones who was on hand to fire home again following another excellent corner from Ryan Mortimer, but it was the flick-on from Ian Groves to Jones that did the damage in the Warminster defence as it left Jones unmarked to give his team the lead.

With the game seemingly won, Bradford again fell asleep and from another defensive error Warminster seized their chance to salvage a point from the match, Beau Blakeman finding the net.
