AN injury-time winner from Chris McPhee secured Frome Town 4-3 win over Dunstable Town to move 21 points clear of the relegation zone.

Having spent much of the season trying to stave off relegation, Nick Bunyard’s side now sit close to the play-off places than they do the drop zone in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division.

Frome took the lead in the 10th minute as Darren Jefferies clipped a cross in for Mike Bryant to score with an acrobatic overhead kick from close to the penalty spot.

Frome caught Dunstable on the counter attack in the 28th minute with Bryant scoring his second of the night.

Dunstable pulled a goal back on the hour mark as Jon Edwards fired home from the edge of the area with a low shot.

The hosts then made it 3-1 in the 70th as Davies curled a free-kick over the wall and find the top corner.

However, Dunstable made it 3-2 two minutes later as a raid on the right led to a Frome header off the line, but the ball was driven straight back in by Calcutt from ten yards.

Controversy erupted in the 82nd minute as a back pass from the knee of Roberts bobbled over the foot of Shaftoe, who then dived backwards to claim the ball, only for the referee and linesman to award a goal.

Frome cinched the win late on when Cleverley directed a header on goal and McPhee was on hand to slam the rebound in.
