DESPITE losing their battle with Freshford United to become Division One champions at the weekend, Luxol St Andrews should have runners up spot in the bag.
A 4-1 victory at Hilperton United on Tuesday moved them level on points with Stockton & Codford in second place and with Warminster Town Reserves left to play and a plus-14 goal difference, they should seal second spot this Saturday.
Tom Rooney headed Luxol in front but Nathan Conradi got Hilperton back on level terms before half-time.
Second-half goals from Rooney, Dan Moore and Nick Taylor wrapped up the points for Jordan Gullis’ side.
Both Warminster Town Reserves and Semington Magpies were safe but played out an eight-goal thriller at Weymouth Street that Town won 5-3.
Goals from Drew Eglin and Tom Martin put Warminster 2-0 up before Ant Lamb halved the deficit.
Ashley Caws restored Warminster two-goal cushion only for Rich Allum to reduce the gap once more.
Further goals from both Martin and Caws fired Warminster 5-2 in front and Allum grabbed a second for Semington.
