WEST Wilts opened 2016 by maintaining the pressure of GoCrea8 League Conference North leaders Wotton-under-Edge with a 3-1 victory at Leominster.
Despite creating early chances, it was Leominster who broke the deadlock after some poor defending.
The visitors eventually found their rhythm and started to dictate, winning a short corner which was converted by Nick Lemon.
As Leominster’s attacks floundered, Wilts started to build pressure from the back and Mark Brothers got his reward and slammed the ball home before half time before adding the third in the second half.
WEST Wilts Ladies 3rd thrashed Keynsham 3rd 10-0 in their West Clubs League Wessex Division Three clash, player of the match Nicky Smith leading the scoring with four goals.
Nikki Ford added a hat-trick and Holly Barry, Abby Bennett and Ellie Brown also netted.
