THE first of back-to-back fixtures between Division Three leaders Holt FC and Polenez Westbury went to form with the former claiming a resounding 9-0 victory to earn Ben Hogg’s villagers their 12th win of the season to all but guarentee them a top two finish with three games remaining.

Matthew Woodhead’s deflected shot gave Holt the lead. Jamie Parlour scored from the penalty spot to make it 2-0 and Adam Potter hit the goal of the game when he added the villagers' third.

The right back struck an unstoppable 30 yard thunderbolt to claim his second goal of the season. Another fine finish this time from Rhys Gibbons and a second from Woodhead gave Holt a 5-0 interval lead.

After the break, Woodhead picked up where he left off from scoring another two goals to take his tally for the game to four and Holt’s to seven before a goal apiece from Tom Wade and Ryan Goodridge completed another memorable victory for Hogg’s side who now look certain to be playing second division football next term.

White Horse FC 11 The Lamb Reserves 0

WITH quadruple-chasing White Horse FC in need of a fixture, they were happy that their match at Leighton Sports Centre against The Lamb Reserves was given the green light.

As in their previous nine league outings it was little surprise that it was the hosts who took the spoils as they overcome the tricky conditions and a lacklustre Lamb side playing their penultimate league game of the season to claim a thumping 11-0 triumph.

Ross Parker may have put White Horse ahead but it was their second goal which was the talking point as veteran defender Allan Clarke scored one of the goals of the season. Clarke picked the ball up on his own 18 yard line and ran through the entire Lamb side before firing home a stunner to double his team's lead.

After that the carnage continued with Parker scoring his second to make it 3-0 and Dan Dew and Dan Cox netting to give the hosts a 5-0 half time lead.

There was no let up from White Horse after the break as Cox made it 6-0 with his second of the game. Stuart Barber scored goals seven and eight before Dan Cox scored from the penalty spot to claim the first hat-trick of the afternoon which was quickly followed by the second that saw Parker seal his own three-timer.

The scoring was completed by Dave Appleyard who fired home number 11 with almost the last kick of the game.

Zeals FC 1 Trowbridge Rangers 5

WHEN Zeals and Trowbridge Rangers met back in September they fought out a thrilling 2-2 draw but the return match was somewhat of a one-sided affair that went the way of James Goddard’s Rangers side who took the spoils thanks to a 5-1 win.

Jordan Field set Rangers on their way to victory and the points were in the bag by the time the half time whistle sounded as a double from Dan Moore gave the visitors to Zeals a 3-0 interval lead.

A second from Jordan Field made it 4-0 and when Dan Moore completed his hat-trick with his 13th goal of the season from just seven outings it was definitely game over, but their was still time for Aaron Carter to score a late consolation for the home team.
