CORSHAM Town boss Trevor Rawlings was left thrilled after his side kicked off the new season with back-to-back victories.
Rawlings’ men triumphed 3-0 at Oldland Abbotonians last Saturday, with Nick Holton, Aaron Ledgister and Ryan Tyrell grabbing the goals.
Then on Wednesday evening, Corsham tasted victory at the Southbank as Callum Elms’ strike saw off the challenge of Wells City.
“Two wins from two and two clean sheets is really good and we can’t ask for much more,” said Rawlings.
“On Wednesday night, it was a really tough game because Wells were a very good side.
“They were probably the better side in the first half but we stood up to them and got ourselves another win.”
Rawlings is looking forward to this weekend's FA Cup extra preliminary round clash with Sydenhams League Horndean.
The Corsham chief said: “The winners play Southern League Cinderford in the next round, so there’s an extra carrot there for us.”
