BRADFORD head coach Dave George admitted his side’s inability to retain possession had cost them the chance of a fist Southern Counties South victory of the season on the south coast.
The visitors matched the home side in the try-scoring stakes but were unable to make the most of their attacking threat.
Leo Robertson and Harry Linge both scored unconverted tries for George’s men in the first half, but a James Baker converted try and penalty and Callum King drop goal edged Dorchester in front at half time.
Bradford dominated the second half but Sam Jones’ try wrapped up the points for the home side.
George said: “Better ball retention would win us games. We dominated possession but coughed it up in crucial positions.’’
