CORSHAM swimmer Stephanie Millward missed out on British Swimming's Paralympic qualifying time for the S9 100m backstroke at Glasgow's Tollcross International Swimming Centre last night.
Millward, who also fell short of the British qualifying mark in the S9 100m freestyle on Saturday, clocked 1:12.67 while finishing sixth in yesterday's multi-classification race, more than a second and a half outside the qualification mark set at 1:11.03 at the British Para-Swimming International Meet.
Former Trowbridge ASC swimmer Chloe Davies, who now competes out of Swansea, clocked 1:08.00 to finish fifth in the same race, also outside the S14 qualification mark of 1:07.08.
Trowbridge swimmer Aaron Moores, who also now swims out of Swansea, lowered the men’s SB14 100m breaststroke world record twice while booking his place on the plane to Rio on Saturday.
