TROWBRIDGE swimmer Aaron Moores continued Wiltshire's success in the Paralympic pool today by qualifying for tonight's SB14 men's 100m breaststroke final.

The morning after Corsham's Stephanie Millward clinched her first-ever Paralympic gold medal with victory in the women's S8 100m backstroke, Moores put himself in contention for a medal of his own with a strong heat swim.

Having disappointingly bowed out of the 100m backstroke heats last week, Swansea-based Moores made no mistake by qualifying second fastest for this evening's final.

The 22 year old, a silver medallist at London 2012, clocked 1:07.25 behind teammate Scott Quin, who set a new Paralympic record of 1:06.65 to win the second of the two heats.

The final will take place shortly after 10pm this evening.
