SIXTEEN wickets fell on an eventful second day of the Minor Counties Championship Western Division clash between Wiltshire and Wales at Trowbridge yesterday.
With Sunday's opening day washed out, the game got under way with Wiltshire winning the toss and putting their visitors in.
And the home side made a brilliant start, reducing Wales to 0-3 as Tahir Afridi and Jake Roberts struck.
A fourth-wicket partnership of 83 between Jack Murphy (69) and Aneurin Norman helped Wales rebuild, but their last six wickets fell for just 14 runs as Afridi continued to cause havoc.
He took 6-37, Roberts with 2-33, as the visitors were dismissed for just 128 in the 51st over.
If Wiltshire thought they had control of the match though, they were soon stunned themselves.
The home side were reduced to 9-6 at one stage, as Wales' bowlers struck back in devastating fashion.
Norman took 3-6 and Murphy 3-17 as Wiltshire closed on 23-6.
