BATH have beefed up their front row options by signing loosehead prop Grant Shiells from Newcastle Falcons.
Scotland A front rower Shiells, 24, made more than 50 appearances for the Falcons and said: "I'm really excited to be joining Bath – they've got a great coaching team and are clearly building towards the future.
"There are some very talented players in the squad, and I'm looking forward to getting involved and developing myself as a player."
Shiells has represented Scotland at U19, U20 and Scotland A levels and will add to Bath's loosehead complement alongside Paul James, Nathan Catt and fellow new signing Nick Auterac.
Bath forwards coach Neal Hatley said: "Grant is a talented young player who already has a good amount of Premiership experience.
"We see him fitting in well with the club and our plans for the future. He's got a lot of potential in him, and we're looking forward to seeing him push on."
