CORSHAM got their season up and running with a five-try victory at South Marston.
The visitors went ahead on ten minutes through a try by number eight Iain Cook, following a catch and drive from a lineout.
On 18 minutes, Cook went over for his second try, converted by Olie Deane.
Will Chivers at centre was at the heart of a lot of Corsham’s attacking play and, five minutes before the break, Cook completed his hat-trick, Deane again adding the extras.
Just before half time Chris Dawes scored for the home side to leave it 19-5.
Marine launched a determined fightback in the second period, tight-head prop Dai Wilson going over for only his second try for the club, which was converted by Luke Donaldson.
The home side though were reduced to 14 men by a red card and Corsham, led by Ed Minty drove Cook over for his fourth try of the game.
Dawes and Killian Spain again brought Marine back into it, but Minty finished a break from the Corsham half to seal victory.
