TROWBRIDGE'S dismal start to the season continued as they were dismantled at Doric Park by Windsor in South West One East.

Again the home forwards competed well despite having players missing, but their mistakes were punished by counter attacks and the absence of a top class finisher did not help their cause.

A wayward pass resulted in Windsor right wing Gary Morgan picking up and racing over in the second minute.

Further tries for the visitors came from flanker Tom King, up in support of skipper Neil Baggett in the 12th minute and from left wing Jack Gaylor on the half hour.

All three tries were converted by Paul Laidler.

In between, Trowbridge played some entertaining rugby, Adam Sullivan making a break and gathering his kick to threaten, but the move finished near the Windsor line.

Eventually Matt Howard forced his way over for a try and Lloyd Davis converted for the home side, Windsor's Laidler missing a penalty just before the break.

The second half began with Trowbridge attacking. Winger Aaron Bray came from the blind side to make ground in midfield but was tackled just short of the line, but Windsor turned the ball over and counter-attacked for Gaylor to score.

Windsor introduced a replacement winger John Hilton who was returning after a long-term injury and Trowbridge had no answer to his pace as he proceeded to score four tries, all converted by Laidler.

Laidler also scored a try himself, but was unable to convert.

The hosts' Mark Durant spent the last 10 minutes in the sin bin, but Trowbridge scored with the last move of the match with centre Nicky Little going over and Davis converting.
