PROPS Nick Auterac and Nathan Catt have renewed their deals with Bath Rugby, the club have confirmed today.

Catt, 27, and Auterac, 23, are widely regarded as two of the most exciting looseheads in the English game, and their re-signing is a signal of intent from one of the strongest packs in the league. Bath head coach Mike Ford said: “It’s fantastic for us to be retaining the services of Nathan and Nick, two outstanding young props.

“They both have their best years ahead of them too, and with someone of the calibre of (forwards coach) Neal Hatley overseeing their development in the pack, they’ll keep going from strength to strength.

“We see them as the modern-day props: not just excellent at the set-piece, but mobile and skilful around the field.”

Auterac joined the club from Saracens ahead of the 2014/15 season, while Catt rose through the ranks of the Bath Rugby Academy, making the step up to the first-team squad in 2008.
