A Monte Carlo-themed reception, featuring a casino and giant Scalectrix track, followed the September 11 wedding of Miss Eleanor Verity White and Mr Stuart Steven Marriner at St Nicholas’ Church, North Bradley.

The bride is the daughter of Ann and Ed White, of St Nicholas Close, North Bradley, and the bridegroom is the son of Julia and Peter Marriner, of Anchor Reach, South Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford.

The bride wore an Ella Bridals ivory lace and taffeta dress with diamante detailing, and was attended by Millie White, Jo Hansford and Laura Hawker, who wore periwinkle blue dresses. Doug Wiles was the best man.

The couple chose the theme for the Bowood Golf and Country Club reception after they got engaged in Monaco in March 2009. The table decorations included model ships, shells and personalised sticks of rock, and the couple took to the floor for a first dance they had had choreographed just for them to Take That’s Rule the World.

The couple, who now live in Bristol, met through work. The bride is a construction solicitor at Morgan Cole Solicitors in Bristol and the bridegroom an in-house solicitor for Smiths News plc in Swindon.
