With regard to the article about the Grover couple from Canada: I live in the area where the plane came down in 1944. Before our estate was built it was a field, and when the plane came down, the Vicar from Christ Church came to see if he could help.
I was 19 at that time and lived at Trowbridge Road. We were told that the airman baled out and one landed on a greenhouse and one at Cley Hill near Warminster.
