Many thanks for highlighting my concerns over car parking at the new Odeon cinema in Trowbridge, with the hope that others are not caught too, Wiltshire Times, November 21.

I see that the Odeon said in reply that advertisements can be run from five minutes up to 25 minutes before the start of a film. So even on a film of average length adding on 25 minutes of adverts and trailers can bring most car park users to fall foul of the three-hour parking. It would be interesting to find out how many other people have been caught.

So if visitors ask the Odeon will they now be giving information on how long adverts will last on each film? The website does say the length of the film, but as I said no mention of the adverts’ length prior.

The car park company running the site has a very bad reputation for booking cars the exact moment that a ticket is due to expire and in some cases it seems even clamping a car with a £120 release fee.

At such a new prestige site in the town is that really the sort of company that should be running the car park. It is run from just a PO Box number in Uxbridge. It seems that several times people have reported the company to BBC’s Watchdog programme for their policies.

I feel that the site owners should take a serious look at the company they have asked to run this car park.
