Link faces cuts too
I am concerned at the Wiltshire Council proposal to withdraw grant support for the Connect 2 Service in order to save £130,000.
This money is not “saved”. The cost is transferred to others i.e. the poor, elderly and infirm.
I am a Trowbridge LINK driver and demand on our services is already increasing rapidly at the same time as the grant support for Wiltshire LINK schemes is being reduced by Wiltshire Council.
It will be tragic if the Connect 2 Service is withdrawn or its fares increased at the expense of the most vulnerable in our society.
