We went online and paid the £40, that worked OK. Then we waited for the label (sticky or otherwise) and waited. The collection day came so we stuck a copy of the acknowledgement on the bin. But no collection came, nor to those of our neighbours who had received the label.
We have paid extra for a service to be continued which has not been. In a commercial operation this would be called fraud, but as it it is the council, it is just bad planning.
A recent edition of Countryfile dealt with the money to be made from garden waste recycling, so why is there a charge?
