A request by one of your readers for the Wiltshire Times to show the face/faces of the ‘Heroes of Colour’ who bring joy through flowers etc was made on the Letters page in last week’s Wiltshire Times.
Here are some photos of Mickey, behind the mower, and Ken clearing out the weeds from the flowerbed, two of the many ‘heroes’ we have working in the park and around the town to make Trowbridge a better place.
Volunteers like Ken, who is a member of Friends of Trowbridge Park, do it for absolutely no financial reward, and you will find him working in all weathers keeping the park in top shape.
We salute Ken and the many other volunteers who make Trowbridge a more attractive town for both residents and visitors.
Sharl Adabashi, Chairman, Friends of Trowbridge Park.
