All credit to everyone at Trowbridge Town Hall for bringing film back to it after so many years.
Trip to the Moon (Méliès, 1902) was intriguing for being such an uncanny preview of the Apollo moon landings. It even splashed down convincingly.
It was also intriguing, as the French 'Making Of' film showed, for its discovery and frame-by-frame reconstruction from many shattered fragments of celluloid film. This was a great beginning for the monthly film season of Film Thursdays. I am sure we all wish them well in what they are doing there for film and the arts generally.
