I AM a volunteer with Alzheimers Support and may I say what a privilege and pleasure it is to be associated with this excellent local charity.
I would like to compliment all those involved in the family fun day at Trowbridge Park on Saturday.
There were many other volunteers involved who all give generously of their time but the people I would particularly like to thank are the trustees and staff who work tirelessly both in and out of hours organising and manning events such as the fun day.
Most people clock off when they leave the workplace, not so the staff and trustees of Alzheimers Support. Many of them and their families were in the park on Saturday from 6.30am through to 6.30pm. They did this with great enthusiasm and always with a smile.
The people of east and west Wiltshire are extremely fortunate to have such a charity that helps and supports people with dementia and their families. For anyone looking for a volunteering role, give them a call, it will give you enormous satisfaction.
