DESPITE having to make expenditure cuts the local council can apparently afford a further £4m for the construction of the West Ashton bypass in order to cater for the flight paths of bats. Would it not be possible to put up some form of barrier to prevent bats flying across the bypass?
After all bats seem to be able to navigate around motorways and I have never heard of any being raised to accommodate bats.
