I SEE that more householders are putting gravel on their frontages. This is more environmentally friendly than concrete or Tarmac. But trouble begins when it goes off the premises onto the footpath and road
On the road it becomes dangerous to cyclists and motorcyclists, and in these days of injuries not your fault lawyers, the householder could have problems (don’t think it could not happen).
Going home from work on a cycle I skidded on some gravel and hit a car on the other side of the road and ended up in hospital requiring stitches. The car was also dented.
At one time there were no lawyers to sue the people who let gravel go into the road; it was just classed as an accident. Gravel going into the road also can go down the drainage system causing flooding.
Please note, litter is anything that is deposited by man and this could also include gravel.
