In the centre of Bradford on Avon, it is easy to be drawn into The Dandy Lion with its eye-catching name.
On entering you immediately feel the warmth and comfort of the place with its wooden furnishings giving it a quaint feel.
An ale and a cider came to just over £6 for me and my friend, as I ordered a classic chicken kiev with fries and she ordered baked chicken in creamy leek sauce.
The pub has a homely feel to it and although it is not spacious it didn’t feel overcrowded despite it being a busy Saturday lunchtime.
Our food was brought to us in good time by the helpful and friendly bar staff and I wasn’t let down by the freshly made chicken kiev which was moist and not overwhelmed by garlic.
Portions were a good size and my friend had no complaints over her dish.
The menu was varied with a good selection to choose from and our food bill came to £24.90.
