NOTTINGHAM Playhouse Theatre Company continues its UK tour of Tracy Beaker Gets Real - by BAFTA-nominated TV writer Mary Morris, based on best-seller The Story of Tracy Beaker by Jacqueline Wilson.

The production, directed by David Newman, includes original music and songs to bring the infamous Dumping Ground to life on stage as we follow the UK's most popular and volatile teenager on a new adventure.

Writer Mary Morris skilfully brings Jacqueline Wilson's characters including Justine Littlewood, Peter and Louise to life in this brand new staging for all the family.

Sheriff, the new careworker, and Elaine the Pain have their work cut out when Beaker's boomeranged back to stay - that is until her Mum returns from Hollywood of course Created by the multi-award-winning novelist Jacqueline Wilson in 1991, Tracy Beaker has become one of the most popular characters of the 21st century.

Following the original novel, her story has been adapted for radio and for television, in the phenomenally successful BBC series, which ran for five series from 2002 to 2006.

It has spawned merchandise from T-shirts to stationery, all drawing on the instantly recognisable illustrations of Nick Sharratt, and even a partwork magazine. Now the world of theatre looks set to be conquered in turn by the unstoppable force that is Tracy Beaker.

Dramatist Mary Morris remains completely true to Tracy's personality in this remarkable new play with music.
