A GROUP of people who took part in a trek in Morocco to raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance have presented a cheque to the charity.
Altogether 16 people from all over Wiltshire did the trek to the summit of the highest Atlas Mountain in October and raised £30,574.19.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance has a target of raising £700,000 a year.
Caroline Corrigan, head of fundraising for the charity, said: “Some people do not know that we are not Government funded and totally rely on the donations from the very generous Wiltshire public to help keep the air ambulance flying and saving lives.
“We were staggered at the generosity of all those who supported our trek team.”
This was the second trek organised by the charity and another one is planned for October next year.
The cheque was handed over at the charity’s base in Devizes.
