Trowbridge Area Board appointed its chairman on Thursday during its first meeting since Wiltshire Council’s unitary elections.
Previous chairman, Wilt-shire Cllr Graham Payne, was re-selected for the role with fellow Wiltshire Cllr Steve Oldrieve taking the position of deputy chairman.
During the meeting, held at County Hall, Wiltshire, Cllr Dennis Drewett was appointed as the board’s representative on the Trans-forming Trowbridge group.
Wiltshire Cllr John Knight was selected to represent the board at Trowbridge Community Area Future meetings, while the board’s chairman Cllr Payne joined the town’s shadow community operations board, which is overseeing Trow-bridge’s campus project.
The next Trowbridge Area Board meeting will be held at County Hall, at 7pm, on July 11.
