Visitors to Bradford on Avon over Easter will have free parking at weekends in all Wiltshire Council car parks.
The railway station, St Margaret’s Hall and the library will all be free to use for the next three Saturdays, as well as the usual free parking on Sundays.
The change comes while Market Street is closed for road repairs.
Bradford Mayor John Potter said it was PC Martin Annetts’ idea after he was asked to look at the situation.
Coun Pottter said: “After the floods and the roadworks it has been very difficult in Bradford, but this should be a big help to get people back into the town.”
