A Bradford on Avon man has been released on bail after admitting being involved in the trade in hard drugs.

Christopher Cain, 23, had been due to stand trial at Swindon Crown Court last week after pleading not guilty to possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply.

But before a jury could be sworn in last Wednesday afternoon Cain changed his plea to admit what he had done.

Cain, of Bradbury Circle, Bradford on Avon, had already pleaded guilty to simple possession of cannabis when he was arrested on Wednesday, February 13, last year.

Recorder Ian Lawrie QC adjourned the case to Tuesday, September 16, so a pre-sentence report can be prepared and released him on bail until then.
