A dance carnival at Trowbridge Civic Centre was hailed a success on Friday after raising more than £800 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Organised by Trowbridge Latin American dance instructor Maria Gonzalez, it included dances such as Salsa, Tango and Zumba.
Miss Gonzalez initially organised the event in 2011 with her friend Margaret Sykes, who overcame breast cancer after being diagnosed, and this year’s carnival was the fourth time it has been held.
Previously held at the United Reform Church in Bradford on Avon and in Holt, Miss Gonzalez decided to move it to a bigger venue at Trowbridge Civic Centre.
Miss Gonzalez said: “I wanted it to be at a bigger venue this year and I got lots of great feedback from people. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it and the atmosphere was fantastic.”
