On Sunday, November 9, the Trowbridge Remembrance Day Service and Parade will muster in Market Street at 9.15am, with a march-off, led by the Wiltshire Youth Marching Band, at 9.30am to St James’ Church for the Service at 9.45am.

The Parade will then re-form in Church Street and march through Silver Street where a salute will be taken by civic and military dignitaries. On arrival at the War Memorial there will be a programme of prayer and hymns with the Act of Remembrance taking place at 11am followed by the formal wreath-laying ceremony. The Salvation Army Band will be on hand to play appropriate music during the ceremonial at the War Memorial. The Parade Marshal will be Mr Brian Mitchell of The Royal British Legion in Trowbridge; he invites all ex-Service association members to take part in the parade and, particularly in this Centenary Year – Commemorating 100 years since the commencement of the Great War – asks all servicemen and women and retired servicemen and women to march with him, shoulder to shoulder, through our town.
