On behalf of Splitz Support Service I would like to thank and congratulate the Pole-da-cise Fitness Dance School for their recent magnificent charity event which raised over £4,500 to support our victim outreach work for those affected by domestic violence and abuse in Wiltshire.

I would also like to give special thanks to Barclays Bank, who sponsored the event, and also to the many organisations and individuals who donated raffle prizes or sponsored individual performers. And to my fellow audience members, what an amazingly supportive and enthusiastic crowd you were. It was a pleasure to be part of it all.

The standard of performance was excellent throughout and the commitment of all involved, regardless of age or experience, was wonderful to see and greatly appreciated by the sell-out crowd. The levels of skill, strength and grace completely mesmerised us. I can see why there is a strong movement to make it an Olympic sport.

It is the stated aim of Pole-da-cise to ‘empower women with confidence’ and we share that aim in our work. It has been a great experience to be involved with them and I wish them all the best for the future.
