TEENAGE mums and their children in Wiltshire will benefit from new programme delivered by a team of specialist nurses.
Young and vulnerable mothers and their babies will get support through The Family Nurse Partnership programme focusing on their health and wellbeing.
Run by the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, it offers intensive, structured support to young mums-to-be – who are referred by midwives – from early pregnancy until their child is two.
Family nurses support them to have a healthy pregnancy, prepare for labour, support their baby to learn and grow as well as to plan their own life goals.
They will also support other family members involved in the baby’s life.
