Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Trowbridge at the rear of The John of Gaunt School between Pitman Avenue and Gloucester Road.
A 22-year-old woman was walking to work when she was approached from behind by a man who attempted to grab her handbag at about 7.50am on Saturday, January 3.
She was pushed to the ground before the man ran off down Pitman Avenue with her handbag.
The man is described as white, in his mid 20s, of slim build and about 6ft tall with short, scruffy brown hair which was wavy at the front.
He was wearing a bright sky blue hooded top, light blue jeans and dark trainers.
The handbag is described as a beige, over the shoulder Kipling bag.
