Alzheimer’s Support’s volunteer Wendy Clayton receives the cheque from Steve Clements
Since 1989 Wessex Model & Toy Collectors has raised over £71,000 for local charities. In 2014 its chosen charity was Alzheimer’s Support and a cheque for £1,720 was presented to memory awareness volunteer Wendy Clayton recently by member Steve Clements at the Kings Arms in Melksham.
Mr Clements raised £500 with a sponsored walk and the rest came from an annual auction and other events.
Alzheimer’s Support runs a memory café in Melk- sham each month and a fortnightly Movement for the Mind group in Bowerhill.
