Reading the letter in last week’s Wiltshire Times headed Take the mess home, I’d like to continue with that theme regarding the lack of dog bins in our area. I have personally asked two councillors, as well as phoning and emailing the council during the last couple of years, for bins to be provided on the walk from the green behind Chepston Place and on down past the fields to Christin Court via Shore Place. Especially the area across the green by Kingsley Place and Chalfont Close and on through to Meadway and Christin Court.
The only reply I have had in all this time is this area comes under the jurisdiction of Westwood – Westwood? We live in Trowbridge.
In the meantime dog mess bags are being thrown in the hedges and fields, which the farmer is not happy about, especially with the combination of cattle and plastic bags Also heaped up alongside lampposts, thrown into private gardens, hidden behind walls or just simply being left for other people to play dodgems whilst out walking. Please Trowbridge Council, a couple of bins is all we ask.
