CHILDREN at Westbury Junior School were saying sayonara at the end of school after enjoying a day of foreign languages.
Despite usually focussing on European languages in previous years, this year the school focused on Japan and took part in a range of activities, from learning how to speak basic Japanese to noodle tasting.
They also designed robots, took part in a traditional tea ceremony and created art work, which will be displayed at Matravers School as part of the Around the World project linked to the Westbury Arts Festival.
Teacher, Hannah Duffy, said: “It’s so important for children to learn about different countries and their cultures.”
