A CAR was destroyed by fire last night on the A361 between Rode and Beckington.
A crew from Trowbridge were called to the layby between the two villages at 6.16pm on Sunday evening to find the car well alight.
Two breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
The fire is believed to have been started accidentally.
