The National Trust team at Stourhead are holding a volunteer recruitment day on Saturday, January 23. Learn about different volunteering roles, meet the team and find out why volunteering at Stourhead is so rewarding.

A record 4 million plus people visited Stourhead last year meaning that there are plenty of volunteer opportunities across the property, including room guides working inside the Palladian mansion house, garden guides, fundraising assistants and more.

‘Anybody with a little spare time is very welcome to come by, hear from some of our volunteers and discover more about the volunteering opportunities we have on offer this year,’ said Jean Nimmo, Stourhead Volunteer Co-ordinator.

She added. ‘Whatever your skills and interests we’d love to meet you. As a volunteer at Stourhead you will be working in an amazing place, have the opportunity to make new friends and will be helping such a great cause. It really is a fabulous place to work at.’ The volunteer recruitment day is a relaxed and informal opportunity for those interested to find out more about volunteering roles at Stourhead. Team leaders will give brief presentations outlining the varied roles available and there will be a chance to chat about the roles with current National Trust volunteers and staff.

The recruitment drive is taking place on Saturday at 11am until 2pm in the Memorial Hall, Stourton, Wiltshire.
