IN regards to the 30 acres of privately-owned land adjacent to Grovelands Way, Warminster.
We recently installed some signs on the land ahead of the commencement of maintenance work around the site. These signs were installed to make the public aware that the land is privately owned, and to help ensure the safety of the pigs currently on the land.
We were disappointed to discover that these signs had been stolen between April 7-8. The theft has been reported to Wiltshire police who are looking into the matter.
The signs will be replaced soon. We would ask the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to Wiltshire police.
We would also like to reiterate that we are happy for members of the public to walk across our land on the designated public footpaths and ask them to follow the Countryside Code. We have both the safety of the public, and our livestock to consider. In the meantime we are continuing to seek meetings with Wiltshire Council to resolve issues regarding the public footpaths and bridges.
