I HAVE to take exception to Michelle Donelan’s column this week.

While there are a lot of people in this country unable to afford to eat properly or heat their house, there is shame in David Cameron’s father, already extremely wealthy, going to great lengths to evade paying tax in this country.

Taxes which all in this country rely on. Whichever way you look at it going to these lengths is tax evasion, and, as David Cameron said about Jimmy Carr, ‘is morally wrong’.

To my knowledge David Cameron has still not published his tax return, just a tax statement.

This all coming to light at a time when people, already struggling to survive, have had their benefits cut yet again.

I find it amazing that there are more than 3,000 more people employed to tackle benefit fraud than there are people employed to tackle tax evasion – this number being about 300.

David Cameron’s reaction to this coming out shows that no – we are not all in this together, and that this government still don’t get it.

The Wiltshire Times is a local paper and I also take exception to Michelle Donelan yet again blowing the Conservative bugle in her column. She should stick to writing about local events and local causes – as did her predecessor in his interesting columns.
