A 77-YEAR-OLD pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Trowbridge this morning.
The man was crossing the Ashton Road roundabout just after 9am when he was hit by a Seat Leon travelling away from Trowbridge.
The road is currently closed and traffic is being diverted through Steeple Ashton and Keevil.
Wiltshire Police Tri-Force officers were in attendance, along with South Western Ambulance Service and Wiltshire Air Ambulance who have airlifted him to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
